Dental Comprehensive Exam and Cleaning
A healthy mouth and beautiful smile starts with a comprehensive exam. We will examine your gums, teeth, tongue, soft tissue, bite/occlusion, lips, muscles and joint (TMJ) in detail. In conjunction with the oral exam, we will review your medical history with you because your oral health is associated directly or indirectly with your overall health. It is important that we keep the gums, bones and teeth inside your mouth healthy so that it does not harm your general health
Composite fillings are composed of glass and acrylic. These fillings look natural and life-like! They can fix teeth that are damaged by cavities, trauma, chipped, misaligned, broken or worn down. If applicable, they can also be used to conservatively close spaces between your teeth, a treatment alternative that looks beautiful and can be cost saving!
Full/Complete dentures and partial dentures are removal restorations designed to replace missing teeth. At Lakeside Dental Designs, we strive to fabricate a denture that is customized to your face and jaw. When made properly, it is nearly indistinguishable from natural looking teeth.
Emergency Dental Care
We know that a dental emergency can disrupt your daily life and can be a painful inconvenient nuisance. It is important to us that you come see us as soon as possible after a dental emergency. At the appointment, we will assess the situation, take an x-ray of the site(s) and perform an exam to diagnose the source of the problem. We will always try to get you out of pain on the same day whether that be through same day treatment or medication.
At Lakeside Dental Designs, we fit and fabricate sports guards, night guards and orthodontic retainers. These appliances are important because they protect your teeth as well as the investments that you have placed on your teeth such as crowns, bonding and veneers.
Oral Cancer Screening
An oral cancer screening is a quick and painless exam that can save your life. When detected and treated in the early stages, there is a 90% chance for a cure. Every patient will get an oral cancer screening by both the hygienist and the dentist. We are looking for early signs of mouth cancer. When oral cancer is detected early, there is a 90 percent chance of being cured. We also check your gums, tongue, floor of the mouth, throat for suspicious looking lesions that are signs of a disorder or disease in the mouth.
During the periodontal exam, we will evaluate the condition of your gum and bone to see if any disease is present. In other words, we are examining the “foundation of your teeth”. You may not feel any pain when you have gum disease. Early treatment will prevent you from undergoing complex expensive procedures in the future.
